Necessary preparations

The Petén Health Community Health Workers finish each clinic visit by counting out and dispensing any necessary medicines, saving patients from having to pay high prices at the pharmacies in town. Behind the scenes, CHWs work to find quality generic medicines in the capital, Guatemala City, and get them to our clinic, 12 hours away. Then, at the Center, we sort and organize meds for the village CHWs. We go through a lot of cardboard boxes!
